KDTW Beta

Post by glapira » Sat May 04, 2019 6:44 pm

Guys...

I just wanted to thank you all for the AMAZING and INCREDIBLE job you have done to complete this scenery, and bring a much needed airport to P3D with this level of detail. Every single dollar I donated is well spent, and you deserve a lot more credit for the quality of the product that you have developed.

A big thank you, and a big congrats for a job well done! I will start reporting some bugs as I start to find them!

Gio

Hello folks!

Here are my five Cent after a first visit to "Fishigans" biggest airport:

Scenery
-----------

...absolutely perfect - eye to eye to the best payware designers!

Navigation Aids
-----------------------

...perfect!

And now some findings the designers may kown better from the real thing:

Lighting - according to FAA-, Jeppesen- and LIDO-Charts
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

REIL: missing at 03L, 09L/R and 21R (LIDO shows them for 04R as well - but this is unprooved)
TDZ: missing at 22R, to be removed at 03L *, 09L/R, and 21R
SFL: missing for the MALSR at 21L, 22L and 27R/L (strobe bulbs are there already)

* LIDO shows them for 03L as well - but this is unprooved.

Areal Blending - using Global Base Pack, Global Vector and openLC North America made by Orbx
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

...perfect in Winter, to be optimized for Spring, Summer and Fall - in comparision the airport shwos up to dark. Maybe one lighter coloured ground would be enough for the named seasons.

What do you think?

Best regards for now!

Bert

GREAT WORK!!!!!!!

In DTW W6 at the top of 21L is suppose to be W7 according to charts. It's actually missing W6 which is right after W5 high-speed turnoff.

Hi Fritz340!

According to current charts (AIRAC 1905) there is no taxiway M7 at runway 21L:

The "last" is M6 at the beginning of runway 21R. So I think the scenery is correct.

Best regards!

Bert

That’s 21R. See 21L for W7. Also see W6 configuration after W5.

Correct - and the crosses of the taxiways north of 21R are missing, too.

Best for now!
