Thanks Ian! Will you also be fixing the orb like runway lights? They look too big.

Chris

so I'm thinking you maybe still have the old add-on.xml perhaps that wasn't uninstalled.
Your full add-on.xml (in the 'Prepar3D v4 Add-ons' folder) should look like this:

Code: Select all

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<SimBase.Document Type="AddOnXml" version="4,0" id="add-on">
  <AddOn.Name>SunSkyJet - KDTW(BETA)</AddOn.Name>
  <AddOn.Description>SunSkyJet - Detroit Metro Airport for Prepar3Dv4</AddOn.Description>
  <AddOn.Component>
    <Name>SunSkyJet - KDTW scenery</Name>
    <Category>Scenery</Category>
    <Path>D:\P3DV4\SunSkyJet\SunSkyJet - KDTW(BETA)\scenery</Path>
  </AddOn.Component>
  <AddOn.Component>
    <Category>Texture</Category>
    <Path>D:\P3DV4\SunSkyJet\SunSkyJet - KDTW(BETA)\texture</Path>
  </AddOn.Component>
    <AddOn.Component>
    <Category>Effects</Category>
    <Path>D:\P3DV4\SunSkyJet\SunSkyJet - KDTW(BETA)\effects</Path>
  </AddOn.Component>
    <AddOn.Component>s
    <Category>Scripts</Category>
    <Path>D:\P3DV4\SunSkyJet\SunSkyJet - KDTW(BETA)\DTW_scripts</Path>
  </AddOn.Component>
  <AddOn.Component>
    <Category>Texture</Category>
    <Path>D:\P3DV4\SunSkyJet\SunSkyJet - KDTW(BETA)\DTW_scripts\yexture</Path>
    <Type>GLOBAL</Type>
  </AddOn.Component>
</SimBase.Document>
Where the <path> tag will have the path to your install (replace 'D:\P3DV4' in this example)

It should look like this:

I recorded a video to further demonstrate some of the issues I'm seeing in P3D V5. They seem mostly seem to be elevation issues. Towards the end of the video, I changed the time to night to show the bright runway light "orbs."

I hope this helps! Happy to help assist troubleshooting in any way.

Not sure if this one was mentioned yet, but I didn't see it.

The "inner/short/front" jetway for A24 is over at the next gate (A20).

@ianj, have you been able to make any updates that fixes the elevation and light issues I'm receiving in P3D V5?

Looking forward to flying to KDTW again.

Chris

So I guess that's a no for P3D V5 compatibility? I'm pretty disappointed because the scenery is great in older P3D versions.
