DTW on P3Dv5
DTW on P3Dv5
Hi all!
Has anyone managed to get SSJ DTW to work on P3D v5? For me after installing the scenery the ground is apparently missing the "flatten" layer, there is a lot of sometimes big bumps and elevation changes which makes it basically unusable.

Actually...not too long ago I started fiddling with ADE. I created a "Flatten" layer that at least from my perspective looks good enough to use. P3D might glitch it upon loading...but I promise you, when I created it, it loaded perfectly. If you're using 5.1 though don't use SODE until they update it. Appears to be causing alot of issues. Anyway, here's the link to the folder.

You need to place that file in a folder that the sim can read it from. I made an "Excludes" folder in the "Addon Scenery" area and directed the sim to load from that. (Only because i've done a handful of other airports trying to block out the stock scenery)
Let me know if this works!
Re: DTW on P3Dv5
So, when I put your file above the SSJ DTW on the scenery list, the airport seems to work well but GSX reads your AFCAD instead of SSJ AFCAD so I can't use GSX at all. Plus of course all the parking positions revert to the default AFCAD.
If I put it below, it doesn't fix anything - https://i.imgur.com/zlXZDu4.jpeg
Thanks!

Re: DTW on P3Dv5
Hey everybody,
I spent most of the day yesterday messing around with files and I think I have a solution that builds on Bassman7e7's fix which gets rid of the elevation issues but also maintains GSX/SODE compatibility. I'll finish testing it today and hopefully upload it tonight or tomorrow.

Well I hit a bit of a hiccup...there are still elevation issues on 22R that don't appear until you are about to land. I'll do more troubleshooting tomorrow.npyl310 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 04, 2020 3:42 amHow did you end up fixing this issue?Whoashloppy wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2020 7:02 pmHey everybody,

Hello Everybody!
First of all I am new here so a quick introduction: I'm Louis a 16y/o Flightsim enthousiast from Belgium. I have recently donated to SSJ and decided to try make SSJ Detroit work in V5. I've been able to eliminate most issues but not all. I used the fix above but instead of putting it in a seperate folder I dropped it in the scenery folder and removed "KDTW_ADEP4_SUNSKYJET" ( I made a backup of the original file of course). this fixed the flickering texture issues. I do have some issues remaining being the black highways as shown in the picturea and the wrong afcad. I might be able to come up with some ideas to hopefully fix those issues. hopefully this also works for you guys!
